SMART & SKILLED SUBSIDIES

Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It gives people the chance to gain the skills they need to get a job and advance their careers.

Smart and Skilled is being implemented in 2014 with an entitlement to government subsidised training commencing 1 January 2015.

To check your eligibility and find courses go to Smart & Skilled website. Sureway Skills Training are an approved provider so search for us by using the 'view courses by option' and enter 'Sureway". You may be eligible for funding if you:  

  • are aged 15 years or older
  • have left school
  • live or work in New South Wales
  • are an Australian citizen permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
Undertaking training can help rebuild someone's life and get them back into the workforce. People who are experiencing domestic and family violence and/or their dependant(s) may be eligible for free training that is funded by the NSW Government under the Smart and Skilled initiative. WORKREADY SUBSIDIES

WorkReady is a South Australian government initiative that brings together funding for training, employment and skills activities.

WorkReady is about targeting training and employment opportunities to the needs of people, strategic industries and regions. Individuals need to meet course entry requirements and verify their eligibility for enrolment before being enrolled in a government subsidised training place.
